Our Story

We are a family owned and operated independent jewelry store with deep roots in European craftsmanship and tradition.  We welcome those from all walks of life with open arms. and pride ourselves on providing a truly excellent jewelry experience to all.  

Sara and Daniel Weiss

We are full service jewelers, designers and artists. We have our hands in a hundred projects at once, and our life is a whirlwind of ideas and creative execution. We take pride in our work and hand craft each and every single custom piece in our modest Los Angeles workshop. We have a retail location at the Original Farmers Market where we showcase other designers’ work, as well as our own. We work primarily in precious metals; but you'll also catch us in the wee hours of the night working on displays, graphic prints, and sometimes even woodworking.

Our specialty is custom jewelry design. We have honed our skills from some of the most prestigious jewelry schools and generations of family experience.  As far as jewelry stores go, we are on the other side of the spectrum. Yeah, sure, we make and sell some primo goods, but our lust in life is to make you that piece you’ve always dreamt about. Whether its your wedding ring that you’ve been dreaming about since you were six, a reproduction of your grandmother’s pendant that you lost years ago, or that glorious bangle you’ve always wanted to see on your wrist— we can make it happen. We aren’t interested in selling you a single necklace or a ring. We want to be your full service jewelers for life. We’re here for you through every project, big or small. What does full service mean? It means we create breathtaking pieces for you, help you take care of them, and help you repair any jewelry you already own, whether originally from us or not. We have high standards of quality for each piece we work on, and have a connection with every project. It’s not just about the metal, the stones, the glitter, and the sparkle. There is a history behind each piece, a magical story. That is what we want to convey through our collections and our custom pieces. We are Daniel and Sara, husband and wife, partners in artistry and life. Leon Weiss 1924-2014

It all started with Daniel's father, Leon.  After surviving the atrocities of WWII, Leon opened his first watch and jewelry boutique in 1951. His perseverance and commitment to low prices during a strictly regulated postwar environment awarded him much notoriety and the nickname "the price breaker." Thirty-five store openings and many newspaper articles later, he emigrated to the United States, where he continued his tradition of exceptional quality, great service, and low prices.    

Mrs. Weiss

Mrs. Weiss joined the family business at 23 as a sales clerk, unassuming that she would one day marry Leon. They were madly in love, and together they grew a small operation into a small empire. In fact, the crown on our logo was added by Leon years after the original logo's inception, as an homage to his queen.  Mrs. Weiss comes in to the shop almost every day and continues to guide us with her wisdom and experience.
